October 8 to October 13, 2025
Discover the Flavors and Culture of France’s Loire Valley
The Loire Valley has been called the “Garden of France” due to the abundance of vineyards and fresh produce. They are known for a diversity of regional foods, Tarte Tatin, Guerande sea salt, and goat’s cheeses in all shapes and sizes, with and without ash, aged to a range of aromas. The wines that they are known for are traditionally crisp Sauvignon Blanc and fragrant Chenin Blanc. We’ll take a leisurely tour through the region's beautiful vineyards and taste a range of white, red, and rosé wines that perfectly complement the region's fresh, local cuisine.
The climate is often pleasant in October in the Loire, it is typically when the harvest is over and the wine is close to bottling. Winemakers are often busy moving their wines through the process, but still have time for a tasting. Businesses are open, kids are in school and the tourists are a little more rare, we find it a great time of year to visit!
Join us as we travel through the valley of the Loire river. Long misty sloping vineyards neighbor herds of friendly goats and ancient limestone chateaux.
We will enjoy market tours with private chef dinners, wine tastings in limestone cellars, and fine dining in some of the best restaurants in the world. We’ll visit fairytale castles with moats and spires and explore boutique shopping in great cities.
